FireCloud Master is designed to finalise films in very high resolutions 2K/4K. It has the complete set of editing and creative features.

FireCloud Master offers two complete timelines:

  • The first one especially adapted to editing functions with an infinite number of video tracks and infinite number of image layers for each of these tracks.
  • The second one where all the shots appear as a thumbnail which enable quick and simple browsing especially adapted to color grading sessions.

Thanks to its mutli-track and multi-layer timeline among other things, FireCloud Master enables stereoscopy work of excellent quality.

FireCloud is resolution independent and can therefore work on HD, 2K or 4K and supports both San and Nas architectures.

An infinite number of Play heads can be created in FireCloud Master so it is extremely easy to compare different sequences or shots from the same composition.

Conformance

FireCloud Master can conform in very high resolution movies which were edited on off-line editing systems, simply by loading an editing list on the format CMX3600, Apple™ Final Cut Pro™ XML. Available Medias are automatically edited in the timeline by matching the time codes source or the edgecode. Missing Medias are automatically identified and can be added automatically by the operator.

Every Firefly products use a centralised database which allows to follow and to trace the history of the different editing versions.

Colorgrading decisions/settings are obviously maintained all along the re-conforming.

Video Color grading

Grading

The main function of FireCloud Master is real-time color grading of very high definition images, the render is done by the GPU.

Secondary corrections are done through chroma key, Luma Key, geometrical shapes, external masks or a combination of the four of them.

Images can easily be compared with the unlimited number of play heads. Shots can be grouped together in order to be color grade simultaneously.

Available color grading functions for primary and secondary corrections are the following ones:

Pan/Scan/Resize

FireCloud Master also allows modifying individually or globally the horizontal or vertical position, the size and the rotation for the shots of a composition

When the position of the shots is modified, it is possible to change the format of the final render of the project in order to comply with classical image formats (HD, SD, DCI…)

Calibration LUT 3D

FireCloud Master supports Calibration Look-Up Table for  DLP and monitors to emulate film ; Digital image projected is identical to the positive image on film.

FireCloud Master supports Look-Up Table to process images shot with the new digital cameras to get the maximum quality (Genesis, Arri, Red …)

FireCloud Master supports Look-Up Table to transform digital images from one color space to anoter one ; i.e. to transform RGB file into image compatible with the new standards for digital cinema (XYZ color space).
